Framtidsbiblioteket: Åpning av Stillerommet og forfattersamtale
Møt Ocean Vuong, Karl Ove Knausgård og Tsitsi Dangarembga i samtale.
I Stillerommet skal forfatternes tekster oppbevares i hundre år. Rommet er kledd i tre fra trærne som stod der Framtidsbibliotekskogen nå vokser. Hvert manuskript har en egen skuff, der de skal ligge til 2114, da grantrærne har vokst seg store, og skal bli til papir som alle de tekstene skal trykkes på.
Den offisielle åpningen av Stillerommet er kl. 15:00. Etter åpningen, ca. 15:30, blir det en samtale med Karl Ove Knausgård, Ocean Vuong og Tsitsi Dangarembga. Samtalen ledes av Anne Hilde Neset, direktør for Kunstnernes hus.

Stillerommet i Deichman Bjørvika er designet av kunstneren Katie Paterson og arkitektene Atelier Oslo og Lundhagem.

Framtidsbiblioteket (2014 – 2114) ble utviklet på oppdrag fra og produsert av Bjørvika Utvikling. Det forvaltes av Stiftelsen Framtidsbiblioteket fram til 2114. Rommet i Deichman Bjørvika er designet av kunstneren og arkitektene Atelier Oslo og Lundhagem. Prosjektet støttes av Oslo kommune ved Kulturetaten og Bymiljøetaten.

Opening of the Silent Room and In Conversation
Opening of Future Library Silent Room and conversation with Ocean Vuong, Karl Ove Knausgård and Tsitsi Dangarembga
At Deichman Bjørvika at 15.00, the official opening of the Silent Room will take place. In this room, the authors' texts will be kept for a hundred years. The room is clad in wood from the trees that stood where the Future Library forest now grows. Each manuscript has its own drawer, where they will lie until 2114, when the trees have grown large, and will become paper on which all the texts will be printed. After the opening, there will be a conversation between this year's authors, Karl Ove Knausgård, Ocean Vuong and Tsitsi Dangarembga. The conversation is led by Anne Hilde Neset, director of Kunsternes hus.

The project is supported by the City of Oslo at the Ministry of Culture and the Urban Environment Agency.
