Hanif Kureishi er en britisk forfatter. Han debuterte som dramatiker med The Mother Country (1980). Han ble internasjonalt kjent for sine manus til Stephen Frears' filmer My Beautiful Launderette (1985) og Sammy and Rosie Get Laid (1987), som på uortodokst vis tar opp forholdet mellom briter og indere i Storbritannia.
